Meet Missy!

 

It’s nice to meet you. I am a five year-old brood mama, and recently have been learning about retired life. So far, I have really enjoyed sunbathing in the yard, following my parents around the house, taking short walks around the neighborhood, and checking every counter surface to see if it contains food for me. Meal time is definitely one of my favorites. My parents have been using a slow feeder, since I get excited and eat quickly. I am very sweet, friendly, and curious. When I’m really excited, I might try to jump up a little bit, but I’ve been working on “off”. Since I’m new I’m still learning things like walking in a straight line on my leash, and using the stairs.

 

I don’t seem to get too upset when my parents leave for work for a couple hours at a time. I seem to do pretty well in a kennel, but may whine a little at first. During the night, my parents let me choose where to sleep, which is in my comfy bed in the kennel with the door open. I sleep well through the night and will even sleep in a bit if you let me. I have gotten along really well with other greyhounds, medium and small size dogs.
