Welcome to Northern Lights Greyhound Adoption
Join NLGA at the 2022 Minnesota State Fair! We will be setting up in the Pet Center on September, 5, 2022 (Labor Day) from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM. The Minnesota State Fair draws over 1.9 million guests each year and this a "GREYT" opportunity to spread that greyhound love to a whole lot of people. Don't miss out on this fun event! Please plan to bring a chair for yourself and a bed for your hound.
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED FOR TURBO!
Before you click away to something else, consider this...
Your opportunity to foster and maybe even adopt Turbo is just a phone call away. Think about it this way. On the positive side, fostering gives you a great chance to learn how Turbo will act in your home. On the other hand, most people fail at fostering and complete the adoption. You could have a new pup in your home sooner than you thought! It's a win for everyone...especially Turbo!
Here are a few details about Turbo... He's a happy dog. VERY happy! He's a very nice and polite boy. He'll be 3 years old in November. A young pup! Turbo loves to play with toys.m Turbo is a handsome dog. Turbo is content in his crate. Good so far, right? Turbo loves going for walks. He's a great eater. Turbo is a quick learner. Turbo is available for fostering AND adoption right now!
Here's more about Turbo that he thought you might like to know.
Turbo lives up to his name. He has a very strong prey drive. This means he has a very strong desire to chase and capture small furry things. Turbo and cats won't get along. Turbo and small dogs? Nope. If you're on a walk and Turbo sees a squirrel, hang on! He won't stop thinking about Mr. Squirrel for about 20 minutes. That's a strong prey drive! Don't let the prey drive thing stop you from fostering or adopting Turbo. It's manageable. Turbo is a very strong dog (most are at 2 years old) so a harness may be better than a traditional Martingale collar. Needless to say, Turbo shouldn't go off leash except in your home. Even a fenced in yard won't stop Turbo from turning on the after burners and chasing down a critter in your yard.
Turbo just needs to learn to chill. Can you teach him?
