30th Annual Northern Lights Greyhound Adoption Picnic

Our largest fundraiser of the year is here! Join us Saturday, September 12th from 11am to 3pm at Long Lake Regional Park (1500 Old Highway 8, New Brighton, MN 55112) as we celebrate 30 years of NLGA with your greyhound friends, old and new.

Enjoy bidding at the silent auction, trying your luck at the 50/50 raffle, grabbing a bite from the Tacos La Catrina food truck, and sipping a beer from Indeed Brewing Company — all while soaking in a park full of retired racing greyhounds and the people who love them.

  • Donating to the silent auction? Items can be dropped off at Foley Blvd Animal Hospital by September 2nd.

Welcome to Northern Lights Greyhound Adoption

Proudly endorsed as a responsible adoption partner by the National Greyhound Association, Northern Lights Greyhound Adoption (NLGA) is a nonprofit group of volunteers dedicated to finding responsible homes for retired racing greyhounds and educating the public about greyhounds as pets. NLGA has been placing these faithful, loving, and wonderful companions for 30+ years. In that time, we have found homes for over 1,800 dogs. Our adoption coordinators will work closely with you to find out if a greyhound is the right breed for you, your family, and your lifestyle.
